Desert Scene




here are a few renders of my desert scene. I was able to fix a lot of the terrain so it lines up better and i was able to put some textures onto my buildings. I'm planning to put a bump map on my building textures but i just ran out of time trying to make everything work properly.

Hillside International Circuit WIP - Midterm Update








Let me start by saying that nothing has gone right during the development of this. Nothing looks like it should, the models are drastically oversized/undersized, and the textures are stretched to the nth degree. I shouldn't even be showing this, it's utterly abysmal.

Scene Final - I like it.

This level came out beautifully I think, and there is still so much more I want to do with it as well. It didn't actually come out as I originally intended it but it made a lot of progress in that direction. I do plan on continuing this though. There is supposed to be a central building but I kept pushing it back because I could never come up with a solid design for it until this last week. That, and a bunch of minor tweaks and edits to optimize and make the world flow better that I want to work on couldn't be put in before this was due.



It's, uh... going


Still like a week and half behind schedule on this. Trying to catch up. I have the general architecture for my mall and the placement of the buildings and kiosks. I still need to decide where I want my trees to go. I also have to rework the textures on the buildings because as it is, everything looks more like a base of some sort in the desert, as opposed to a mall. I plan on setting up the lighting and sky box afterward.

Due to how many trees that I have within the scene, I was only able to actually render one frame of the whole scene (this took a few hours to do). I was finally able to render a small area with the bridge.

Castle on a Cliff

Here are renders of my castle town. I would like to work on it some more with the lighting and the textures but I can play with those later.









Here is my finished scene I would love to keep working on it but I'll have to wait till after this semester is over. The snow and lights where killing me in the end lots of time and effort and I'm still not satisfied with either. I tried to have video ready for class but it took way to long rendering and I had several failed attempts.

Terrain So Far





This is the progress I've made. Everything got a resize treatment to make sure it was all to scale with a player. Also, adjustments to the terrain so its much more mountainous and cliff-like. Also, T-Intersection for my underground tunnels is finished.
